5000 Euro for used Phase One starter kit, will this work?

Postby NNN634454662912157402 » Tue Jul 05, 2011 11:48 am

Hello from Germany,

New here, and my first post after reading some articles here.

After been using Leica stuff for some timeM8, M8.2 M9 and X1 (I still own a Leica X1), and some Canon gear (1D MIII), I would like to make a swap to Phase one.

I intend to buy second hand items,

e.g.

Phase One 645 AF Body
Simple digiback (20MP)
One or two lenses (80 mm & 45mm)

I'm shooting mainly family pictures.
I need autofocus, as my eyes are not that good anymore for MF.

Would this budget be sufficient to start a phase one digital experience?

Me again,

first 2 pieces were bought this afternoon:

A PhaseOne AF645 in nearly new condition for 900 Euro, and
A Mamiya 645 AF 45mm f2.8 Lens for 580 Euro.

Hope that these prices are ok.

Going to hunt coming weekend for the digiback, some 3500 Euro left in my budget ;-))

Not a lot of action here on this forum on my questions, so I must assume that my wishes are not possible

I have advertised the stuff in some German forums------

Maybe we see each other in a Leica Forum

The prices on the first two are quite good, though I assume the 45mm is not the current D version which is much higher sharpness.

As for what you can get fro $3500 in a digital back, a quick search of eBay or Call to a local dealer will outline your options.
